ABC's Women of the Movement casts Cedric Joe as Emmitt Till

Joe will play the 14-year-old from Chicago who became a Civil Rights icon after he was brutally murdered in a racist attack while vacationing with his family in Mississippi in 1955. Women of the Movement focuses on Till's mom, Mamie Till-Mobley (played by Adrienne Warren), who devoted her life to seeking justice for her son.
