Carlson opted to exit as the wife of Donnie Wahlberg’s character after seven seasons, so her character was killed off. “What I think it has done is opened up a whole new bottle of storylines,” says Bridget Moynihan. “I know it’s sad to see somebody go, but it has reignited some beautiful, creative juices.”
