ER's 15-year run ended 10 years ago today -- but don't expect a reboot anytime soon

Former ER executive producer John Wells was asked about his hit NBC medical drama's run from Sept. 19, 1994 to April 2, 2009, and whether it should be revived. “I’m not a big fan of the reboots and the nostalgia for old shows, particularly when they’re available now” on streaming platforms, he tells TVLine. “I’m not really interested in rebooting shows,” adds Wells. “We had a wonderful experience doing ER. … But I (feel) like we told those stories. I wouldn’t want to do anything to, in any way, remove or damage what the experience was at the time." ALSO: Read an oral history of the ER pilot.
