Ex-Last Chance U coach charged with eight felonies

Former Independence Community College head coach Jason Brown, who starred on the Netflix reality show for Season 3 and the upcoming Season 4, has been charged with “four counts of blackmail, four counts of identity theft, all felonies, as well as two counts of criminal false communication, both misdemeanors," according to the Parsons Sun newspaper. Brown resigned from his job in February after a text message revealed he told a German player on his team “I am your new Hitler.” The charges include an allegation that Brown pretended to be a lawyer from the Cochran Law Firm -- as in Johnnie Cochran -- in sending out a cease-and-desist letter.
