Sesame Street has impacted the music world as much as it has shaped TV history

Artists from Katy Perry to Bruno Mars to Stevie Wonder and Loretta Lynn have all been an important part of Sesame Street's musical legacy. "Sesame Street is one of the earliest examples of a musical I experienced," Lin-Manuel Miranda, who has composed for Sesame Street, tells The New York Times. “I learned from Sesame Street that music is not only incredibly fun, but also an extremely effective narrative and teaching tool.
