The Voice is shaking things up for Season 23.

Blake Shelton, who has coached contestants every season since the show began, will depart the NBC singing competition after Season 23. "I've been wrestling with this for a while, and I’ve decided that it’s time for me to step away from The Voice after Season 23," he said in a statement. "This show has changed my life in every way for the better, and it will always feel like home to me."

While it's not yet known who will replace the country star, he will have some new coaches by his side for his final season. Kelly Clarkson will return for another round in her revolving chair, and some fresh faces are also joining the show. Niall Horan, best known as a member of boy band One Direction, and Grammy-winning artist Chance the Rapper will both join the series as new coaches for Season 23.

"I'm looking forward to meeting and mentoring the new crop of talent while we battle it out with the other teams!" said Horan in a statement. "I'm excited to help other artists get to the next level and make the most of this life-changing experience. Get ready for #teamchance," said Chance the Rapper.

Since its debut in 2011, The Voice has won three Emmy Awards for Best Reality Competition Program. The current season's coach line-up includes Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Camila Cabello, and John Legend.
