Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas Gets Premiere Date at NBC

The holiday musical will air in December.

    Dolly Parton will soon ring in the holidays at NBC again.

    Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas will premiere on NBC in December, marking another seasonal special for the music icon after Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love. The star-studded cast set to appear alongside Parton includes Tom Everett Scott (SouthLAnd), Angel Parker (The Rookie) and Ana Gasteyer, with Parton's goddaughter Miley Cyrus, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen, Zach Williams, and Jimmy Fallon all set to make guest appearances. 

    Other cast members include Mary Lane Haskell, Bryan Batt, Brendan Bradley, John Newberg, Rachel Parton George, Cassie Parton Griffith, Rhoda Griffis, Liam Rauhoff, and Steve Summers

    Set to be a "modern-day movie musical about the making of a network TV special", Magic Mountainn Christmas depicts "the frenetic backstage story and delightful on-camera results of Dolly’s desire to uplift an exhausted world’s spirits by sharing the unique mountain magic she has always found in and around Dollywood at Christmas."

    Beloved Parton hits including "9 to 5" and "I Will Always Love You" will be heard in the special, as well as a new holiday song.

    Dolly Parton's Mountain Magic Christmas will premiere on NBC December 1 at 8/7c.
