Morgan Freeman Narrates the World's Wonders in the Trailer for Nature Docuseries Our Universe

The six-part series hits Netflix later this month.
  • Morgan Freeman is making nature documentaries even more majestic once again.

The Academy Award-winning actor lends his voice to Our Universe, a new docuseries exploring "the connections that drive our natural world." In the trailer for the six-part series, Freeman describes the vastness of the universe, and how cosmic events have shaped the natural world as we know it today.

"In the lives of every creature on Earth are echoes of events that occured a long, long time ago," he says. "Events of unimaginable scale and violent beauty that connect all living things."

Combining breathtaking wildlife footage from all over the world with groundbreaking animation sequences to dramatize the formation of the solar system and beyond, Our Universe takes viewers on an epic adventure. From penguins and Alaskan brown bears to cheetahs and chimpanzees, this all-age friendly series "is the story of how life came to be on this fragile, resilient, irreplaceable planet we call home."

Our Universe is exectuve produced by Andrew Cohen, showrun by Mike Davis, and produced, written, and directed by Alice Jones, Stephen Cooter, and Naomi Austin. The series marks the beginning of Netflix's natural history documentary push that was announced last month.

Our Universe debuts on Netflix November 22.
