Today marks the end of an era for Netflix as Orange Is the New Black makes its final bow. Part of the streamer's first slate of original series, OITNB is arguably the first of the group to get the ending it deserves. House of Cards had a weird power-down in the wake of the Kevin Spacey scandal, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's final season was released in two parts, making the last few episodes feel like an afterthought, while the future of Arrested Development is, as always, a question mark. According to those who've seen it, the final season of Orange Is the New Black is a return to form for the series, ending the run of its characters in ways that are both provocative and appropriate.

FINAL SEASON: The seventh season of Orange is the New Black picks up after the tumultuous events of last season, taking us behind bars with the ladies of Lichfield one last time, while Piper (Taylor Schilling) enjoys her new, scary freedom, having been granted early parole. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: Just when we thought that all possible iterations of the superhero story had done, a series like Amazon's The Boys comes along. Based on the Garth Ennis/Darick Robertson comic book and produced by Eric Kripke (Supernatural) and Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Superbad), the series imagines a world in which superpowered costume "heroes" have embraced the dark side of their fame and abilities, leading a group of street-level vigilantes (among them Jack Quaid and Karl Urban) to take up arms against them. The 8-episode series also stars Erin Moriarty (Jessica Jones), Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl), and Jessie Usher (Almost Christmas). Streaming on Amazon Prime

NEW SEASON: The second season of Hulu's teen horror series Light as a Feather will be released in two parts. The second part comes this fall, but the first drops today. Expect more supernatural fallout from our characters having played the classic slumber-party parlor trick.  Streaming on Hulu

NEW SEASON: If you've already long-since-devoured the Harry Potter novels and films and maybe even seen the stage extravaganza on Broadway, Netflix's The Worst Witch may be just what you're looking for. Based on Jill Murphy's series of novels, Season 3 drops today with Mildred returning to Cackle's Academy for another year of adventures. Streaming on Netflix
