Anne With an E Drops its Final Season on Netflix as Fans Demand More

There's nothing quite like word of a show's cancelation to suddenly make everyone appreciate what they've been taking for granted. Late last month the creator of the Canadian drama Anne With an E Moira Walley-Beckett announced that the show's third season would be its last, saying "I wish it could be different, but it cannot."  Cue nearly one milion tweets with the hashtag #renewannewithane, fan petitions, and an offer from the creator to write a finale feature film. While there's no word yet on whether The CBC and Netflix will bite on Walley-Beckett's offer, the streamer is releasing the show's ten episode third season today. NEW EPISODES: The three-night Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning continues its run with two new episodes that explore why the voices of the women who first spoke up years ago are only now being heard. 9:00 PM ET on Lifetime
