    Real-life drama hits the small screen today as Amanda Seyfried transforms into Elizabeth Holmes in Hulu’s The Dropout and John Cameron Mitchell and Kate McKinnon revive Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin’s feud in Peacock limited series Joe vs Carole. Coincidentally, McKinnon was originally slated to play Holmes, the disgraced CEO of Theranos, but she later exited the series to focus on other projects, including the Tiger King dramatization.

    Also today: Star Trek: Picard plays with time travel in Season 2, Jamie Dornan finds himself at the center of a cat and mouse chase in The Tourist, Top Chef heads to Houston for Season 19, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

    The Dropout: Limited series premiere. Hulu charts the epic rise and fall of Theranos CEO Elizabeth Holmes, who became the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire with her fraudulent blood testing technology.     Joe vs Carole: Limited series premiere. Based on the Wondery podcast “Joe Exotic,” Peacock’s limited series follows big cat enthusiast Carole Baskin (Kate McKinnon) as she works to shut down Joe Exotic’s (John Cameron Mitchell) for-profit breeding program. Dean Winters, Kyle MacLachlan, Nat Wolff, and William Fichtner are among those playing the menagerie of personalities featured in Tiger King. New episodes stream weekly. Read our review.     The Tourist: Complete first season. After a British man (Jamie Dornan) is pursued by a tank truck trying to drive him off the road, he wakes in the hospital with no idea who he is.     Our Flag Means Death: Series premiere. From executive producer Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) comes this new ten episode comedy loosely based on the true adventures of 18th century would-be pirate, Stede Bonnet (Rhys Darby).
