Andor and Abbott Elementary Lead a Packed Day of Premieres

    Television delivers non-stop excitement today as two of the biggest shows of the month, Star Wars prequel Andor and Emmy-winning comedy Abbott Elementary, make their debuts. In addition, Pete Davidson and Kaley Cuoco have a Meet Cute on Peacock, Survivor begins a new season with a two-hour episode, The Goldbergs kills off Jeff Garlin’s character, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

    Andor: Series premiere. Five years before the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) embarks on a journey that will transform him into a rebel hero. The Star Wars prequel also stars Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgard, and Forest Whitaker. Three episodes drop today. Watch trailer. Streaming on Disney+

    Abbott Elementary: Season 2 premiere. The teachers return from summer break for development week. Determined not to let her breakup affect her work, Janine (Quinta Brunson) organizes a faculty mixer, while Ava (Janelle James) runs a side hustle and Gregory (Tyler James Williams) finds himself in over his head with the curriculum.     Meet Cute: Original film. Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson headline a Groundhog Day-like romantic comedy about a woman who uses a time machine to continually tweak a date she had the previous night with Gary (Pete Davidson). Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

    Survivor: Season 43 premiere. 18 new castaways come together in Fiji and begin their journey towards the $1 million prize. The season begins with a two-hour episode that sees the castaways divided into three tribes. With host Jeff Probst. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    The Goldbergs: Season 10 premiere. Driven bonkers by her family, a pregnant Erica (Hayley Orrantia) enlists Beverly’s (Wendy McLendon-Covey) help in clearing things out for the baby. The season will pick up after the death of patriarch Murray Goldberg, played by Jeff Garlin, who left the show in late 2021 amid allegations of inappropriate conduct.     Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story: Complete limited series. Ryan Murphy and Evan Peters re-team to chronicle the unconscionable crimes committed by serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer (played by Peters), as told from the point of view of his victims. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist: Complete docuseries. Members of the Bling Ring, a group of teens who targeted the homes of Hollywood celebrities in 2008 and 2009, come forward to tell their story in this three-part documentary series. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Designing Miami: Complete first season. Husband and wife home designers Ellyn and Ray Jimenez remodel homes for their high-end clients in Miami, all while managing the pressures of their marriage. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Shadowland: Complete docuseries. Joe Berlinger (Conversations With a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes) reveals how conspiracy theories have moved from the margins to the mainstream by focusing on the true stories of people who have gone all-in on misinformation and conspiracy thinking.     The Masked Singer: Season 8 premiere. The who-sung-it returns with a new format, in which only one singer from each episode will advance to the next stage of the competition. Host Nick Cannon and panelists Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Nicole Scherzinger, and Robin Thicke return. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

    Chicago Med: Season 8 premiere. In the aftermath of Will’s (Nick Gehlfuss) apartment fire, Crockett (Dominic Rains), Ethan (Brian Tee), and Archer (Steven Weber) work together to try and save the survivors. Followed by the Chicago Fire Season 11 premiere and the Chicago PD Season 10 premiere. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    The Conners: Season 5 premiere. In an effort to save money, newlyweds Darlene (Sara Gilbert) and Ben (Jay R. Ferguson), and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) and Neville (Nat Faxon) head off on their joint honeymoon, but their cost-saving measures contribute to a tension-filled getaway. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    The U.S. and the Holocaust: Docuseries finale. Ken Burns examines America’s involvement in the Holocaust from 1942 to the end of the war, and lasting antisemitic sentiment in the United States, in the third and final episode. 8:00 PM ET on PBS

    Escape From Kabul: Original documentary. Jamie Roberts (Four Hours at the Capitol) follows the action in Kabul over 18 monumental days in August 2021, from the withdrawal of U.S. troops through the evacuation of thousands of Afghan citizens from the airport after the Taliban seized the city.     Home Economics: Season 3 premiere. Tom (Topher Grace) finds out that Connor (Jimmy Tatro) is his new boss, which threatens to ruin Marina’s (Karla Souza) perfectly planned trip to Disneyland. Watch trailer. 9:30 PM ET on ABC

    The Amazing Race: Season 34 premiere. 12 new teams start their journey in Munich, Germany. In a new twist, one team will be eliminated at the end of every leg of the season. Watch preview. 10:00 PM ET on CBS

    Big Sky: Season 3 premiere. The ABC drama gets a new subtitle, Deadly Trails, and new stars in Reba McEntire and Jensen Ackles. McEntire will play Sunny Brick, the matriarch of a successful backcountry outfitter with a secret history of missing customers, while Ackles will play newly-appointed sheriff Beau Arlen.     The Challenge: Untold History: Docuseries premiere. MTV turns its documentary lens on itself as it explores the conception, evolution, and legacy of The Challenge. The isx-part series will air over three weeks, premiering tonight with two episodes back-to-back. Watch preview. Begins at 8:00 PM ET on MTV 

    Jay Leno's Garage: New episode. Elon Musk invites Jay to Texas where we get an exclusive personal tour of his revolutionary rocket factory. Watch clip. 10:00 PM ET on CNBC

    Prisma: Series premiere. Prime Video dramatizes the everyday lives of a group of gender fluid and queer teens in Latina, Lazio in this Italian series. Watch trailer. Streaming on Prime Video

    Fortune Seller: A TV Scam: Complete docuseries. The life of controversial slimming-cream seller Wanna Marchi, who used her television platform to con Italians, gets the true crime docuseries treatment. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix
