The Crown Tackles Charles and Diana's Divorce, Handmaid's Tale Wraps Season 5

    It’s a major day for drama lovers, as two of the most acclaimed series of the Streaming Era take center stage. After a two-year hiatus, The Crown returns with an entirely new cast for Season 5, which will center on Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s separation in the 1990s. Over on Hulu, The Handmaid’s Tale concludes its own fifth season, with a sixth (and final) installment set to premiere at a later date.

    Also today: The cast of Love Is Blind Season 3 reaches the altar and sits down for a dramatic reunion, David Beckham attempts to save a youth soccer club, country music stars gather for the 56th Annual CMA Awards, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

    The Crown: Complete Season 5. As the 1990s hit their stride, Queen Elizabeth II (Imelda Staunton) is presented with possibly her biggest challenge to date: the dissolution of Prince Charles (Dominic West) and Princess Diana’s (Elizabeth Debicki) marriage. Meanwhile, the Queen faces new challenges abroad, as the collapse of the Soviet Union signals a seismic shift in the international order. Beyond Staunton, West, and Debicki, The Crown’s new cast includes Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles. Watch trailer.     The Handmaid’s Tale: Season 5 finale. Under threat, June (Elisabeth Moss) must find a way to keep herself and her family safe from Gilead and its violent supporters in Toronto. Meanwhile, Janine (Madeline Brewer) questions her own safety when she’s posted in Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) and Mrs. Putnam’s (Ever Carradine) home. Watch preview. Streaming on Hulu

    Love Is Blind: Season 3 finale. Wedding day arrives for Nancy and Bartise, Cole and Zanab, and Colleen and Matt, but as some finish the day heartbroken, others take the plunge and say “I do.” Afterwards, hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey sit down with the cast to rehash the most dramatic moments of the season.     Save Our Squad With David Beckham: Complete Season 1. Soccer star David Beckham returns to his East London roots as he attempts to save the Westward Boys, a young, grassroots team at the bottom of their league, from relegation in this four-episode series that puts the Ted Lasso formula into practice.     56th Annual CMA Awards: It’s country music’s biggest night as Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning oversee the festivities at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Katy Perry, Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, and Reba McEntire are set to perform, while Elle King and The Black Keys will pay tribute to legend Jerry Lee Lewis. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    Fifa Uncovered: Complete Season 1. Ahead of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Netflix aims to expose the organization’s history of corruption and many scandals in a new docuseries. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Zootopia+: Complete Season 1. Head back to the fast-paced mammal metropolis of Zootopia in this short-form series that dives deeper into the lives of some of the film’s most intriguing residents, including arctic shrew Fru Fu, ZPD dispatcher Clawhauser, and smiling sloth Flash.     Married at First Sight: Season 15 finale. Emotions run deep as the San Diego couples reunite to reveal secrets and surprising updates in Part 2 of the reunion special. Followed by a two-hour “Look Back” special. 8:00 PM ET on Lifetime

    Hard Knocks In Season: The Arizona Cardinals: Season 2 premiere. HBO’s cameras follow the Arizona Cardinals as they navigate the challenges of the current NFL season and fight to improve their NFC West record. New episodes air every Wednesday through the end of the Cardinals’ season in early January. Watch trailer. 10:00 PM ET on HBO
